 TIE-S aims at accelerating the energy transition to sustainable energy through a single,  fully integrated  energy transition approach largely within existing infrastructure capacity. Largely reduced infrastructure changes greatly reduce cost as well as minimum time needed to execute the energy transition.

TIE-S stands for Totally Integrated Energy Systems. That is literally what TIE-S is doing, tie-ing the total energy system together into one single integrated energy system, including heat, power & molecules over the entire relevant scale, time and geographic range.
